INTERVAL TRAININGExercise
Interval training combines high-intensity workouts with longer periods of rest to build up speed and endurance. It’s also come in handy for losing weight. Combine a few of the exercises below and get in a 30-minute session, with a lot of sweating!

Jumping rope: Probably one of the cheapest pieces of workout equipment, go back to your gym class days and spend a minute or two improving your balance and agility by jumping rope.

Sprints: Sprint from one end of the court to the other, jog backwards and repeat 5 times. If you can’t job backwards, no problem, jog back as your normally would.

Truck Jumps: Start with your knees slightly bent, feet shoulder-width apart. Squat down, jump straight up and bring your knees to your chest in midair. Do your best to sink back into the landing to absorb some of the impact. Do this several times to get your heart pumping.

Side Shuffles: Do side shuffles the full distance of the court and back, repeat 6 times.

CARDIO
This one is about as simple as it can get! Do things like getting back to your backyard hoops routine. Shoot around the key, do some layups, get your kids out for a pick-up game. If tennis is your sport of choice, get a partner for a post-work tennis match or encourage your spouse to join you after coffee on Saturday morning. Whatever the sport, use your court for your cardio routine!
